Link Love 04.17.13

So, before I delve into this Link Love post, I’d like to explain why so many of my last posts were published over the same few days. …and why the date in this title’s post is before the date that I’m actually publishing it. It’s because I’m slowly transitioning the Studio One-Sixteen blog to WordPress from another blogging platform. So, after this initial influx of posts, I will begin posting in real time again. When this happens, you’ll probably be able to expect around three posts per week. Thanks for being patient with me :). …and now, back to Link Love!

1. The video above, part of a campaign by Dove called “Dove Real Beauty Sketches,” is so beautiful and moving. It’s a must watch. It definitely made me consider how I perceive myself and how this self perception might actually be way too critical. Perhaps it will do the same for you.

2. I was heartbroken to hear of the events that took place at the Boston Marathon on Monday. The idea that someone would take the time to organize such a tragedy makes me want to give up on humanity. Even so, this post over at Design Work Life gave me a little more hope.

3. I loved this post called “Living In: Tuck Everlasting” over at Design*SpongeThe story of Tuck Everlasting has always been one of my favorites. The movie starring Alexis Bledel, one of my favorite actresses, was also pretty awesome.
